A year-round rail corridor between Superior and Ashland across Douglas, Bayfield and Ashland counties, shared by walkers, cyclists and seasonal motorized users.

Planning this route

Wisconsin DNR and the Tri-County Recreational Corridor Commission define a 62-mile Superior–Ashland route. The refreshed connected source relation measures 96.9 km and follows the complete three-county corridor.

Access and source limitations

Walking is permitted, but this is a multi-use corridor shared with bicycles, equestrians, ATVs or UTVs in snow-free periods and snowmobiles in winter. Surface quality and traffic vary by season and county.
