Dry Mixed Muddy

Before you ride, run or hike Tanglefoot Trail

Is the whole route dry and open?

No opening status is verified here. This is a model estimate; local puddles, damage and closures may differ. 1413 calculated segments across 17 weather cells. Follow land-manager notices.

When will this route dry?

A current surface score does not establish a drying time. Check the rainfall observation time, refresh stale inputs and review local reports before leaving.

Route and access notes

A paved former railway corridor through northern Mississippi, linking New Albany and Houston through Ecru, Pontotoc, Algoma and New Houlka. This page assesses the cycling route, not adjacent roads or private land.

Planning this route

The connected source measures 70.2 km, matching the operator's 43.6-mile corridor and its New Albany and Houston endpoints. Surface tags identify asphalt throughout. Choose access points and a return plan separately; the condition model does not assess traffic at road crossings.

Access and source limitations

Trail and bridge improvement works are in progress. The operator warns of temporary section closures and publishes updates on its Facebook page. Check current notices before setting out; a dry surface score does not mean the route is open. The operator permits use from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset unless posted otherwise. Enter only at designated access points. Dogs must be leashed and camping is prohibited. Check current signs and the separate e-bike rules; mapped access tags are not a live closure feed.
